General Election:

Vote Gary Wallace for Port
Commissioner, District 2
Kalama, Washington

Gary's goal for the Port of Kalama is to ensure that future development of our Columbia River waterfront protects our quality of life.

“I envision a future that steers away from fossil-fuel based projects. I want to attract high-end light industrial and commercial employers that realize our area has the family oriented, small town feel that gives Kalama the advantage that makes young families want to live and work here.” ~Gary Wallace

Gary is a lifelong resident of Cowlitz County and 40-year resident of Kalama. He is retired, married, President of Lower Columbia Stewardship Community, and active in the No Methanol and Clean Air Kalama campaigns. Read more About Gary Wallace.

Gary says of our port and community, “Based upon the Port's own newsletter 'tourism equals money', I want to create more unique projects that will grow more tourism. I see more cooperation between the port and the city for mutual, long-term economic diversification.”

"Kalama is the ideal setting. It’s why people live here, for the quality of life. They don’t want to see it denigrated by foreign-held infrastructure using fracked gas," Wallace said.

5/23 The campaign is off and running. The only two candidates running for Port of Kalama Commissioner District 2 are Gary Wallace and incumbent Alan Basso. This position will not be contested in the Primary Election. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5th. Your vote counts!
